Now server boots but cant boot windows with "no bootable device". So we have a proliant dl360 gen 9 that had a 4 ssds raid 10, long story short the mobo died and was replace by another but everything else is the same (raid controller, cpu etc). Replaced motherboard on a raid 10 server, see ssds but no boot from windows.Which was originally provided by Mike Bombich at his site (but has since been removed it seems). In order to ensure preserving all file properties, you'll have to install a custom rsync for 10.6 and it needs to match at the target - which, being a NAS, is highly improbable if not impossible (as in, entirely unavailable). Your stipulation of copy only newer files is a solved problem: rsync Opens a new window - it's akin to knowing and working with robocopy in Windows, but for/in the Unix & Linux world. The larger issue is you're seeking simple when the situation is already fairly complex, due largely to the fact that the source system is running 10.6. ![]() ![]() I should also add the Macs are remote so I don't have easy access to the USB to plug in and out, but I do have a Synology NAS on the LAN so I'm currently trying to copy everything there as a staging server. I want something simple that just copies all files once then any newer ones without any worry - so I can get rid of the old Mac!Īs per my other recent post, I can't see all the files on the old Mac from the new Mac even though I have changed permissions on all files - so I want something to run on the old server for a few days to make sure I get all the latest files before switching. Thanks David, ditto sounded good until I read a post that said it might overwrite newer files with older files. ![]()
